Chapter activities provide unique opportunities for interaction with other business process management professionals. ABPMP International chapter objectives are to:
- Provide forums for business process management professionals
- Proctor the CBPP® exam
- Provide study groups for the CBPP® exam
- Provide programs of continuing professional education
- Promote business process management as a professional discipline
- Provide a forum for networking for BPM professionals
Each ABPMP International chapter determines its own schedule and activities to meet the needs of the local professional community. Typical chapter activities might include:
- Monthly or Bi-monthly meeting with an open forum and presentations on topics of interest
- A monthly or bi-monthly e-newsletter
- Special events such as professional development, vendor workshops, job fairs, certification review, etc
- Member discounts on local events, training, conferences, and products
- Forums for discussions on topics of interest to members
- Networking socials
- Educational events at local universities and colleges
